Written : Tuesday 18th Mar 25Last weekend, the U12 Team competed in the Waterfall Cup final. Despite facing numerous unfortunate injuries, we emerged victorious!
The team started with incredible defensive pressure, and just minutes into the game, we scored our first try after a fantastic turnover. This strong start boosted our confidence, leading to a series of well-executed defensive lines that resulted in six tries within the first 13 minutes. We maintained high pressure throughout the game, showcasing a strong performance.
The tries were scored by Frankie, Aiden D, Ben, and Hugh, along with others who continued to shine after the sixth try. One of the standout plays came from Milo, an amazing kid who has shown remarkable improvement. At the beginning of the season, we decided to create a development squad and an Academy Squad. We are thrilled to see these players reintroduced to the Academy team and performing exceptionally well.
It is very hard to call out names of an amazing cohesive squad, but just to provide some glimpses, we saw great runs from Xander, Seb, Oscar, and Teddy. Theo brought the maturity the team needed by being very fast on the breakout and opening the ball quickly. Hugh stepped up as a fly-half, scoring at least two tries from our 22, showcasing our amazing counter-ruck attitude.
In the end, we were the best team on the pitch and we will continue to work to become even better. Congratulations to all!"
